Extract of a speech by Dominique BUSSEREAU, French Farm Minister at a Biomass Symposium (2006, April 6 th) :
"The Biomass evaluation has become a true challenge for our future. Indeed, our country, like all the other countries of our planet, is confronted issues related to the enduring development. (…) Agriculture and forests have to play one's cards right. They can act on the triple challenge we have to think: energy, environment and economics. (…) Biomass is "one of the France’s prosperity". Wood, straw, energetical cultivations, plants, animal by-products, bio-waste … : our agriculture, our sylviculture and others activities generate biodegradable wastes. We must give value to these elements : we domesticate the « savoir-faire » and we have the technicity thanks to improvements due to research and industrial process.
Take hold of this chance and become leader on those markets, they will be growth markets all over the planet"
As French energetic needs are in constant progression, the group has taken over shares (35%) in the firm ICE. So that it can rely upon engineers specialized in turbines and energetic output plants.
Such partnership allows Hiolle Industries’group to be nationally and internationally present on turbine facililty market.
Renewable energiesHiolle Industries actively fights against greenhouse gases. Beyond complying factories with the norms, studying renewable and less polluting energetic resources is now planned.
According to this program, the group is making partnership agreements. Some projects, mainly in Biomass sector, should be developped in the early 2007.
Besides, Hiolle has launched a prospective survey about forest and agricultural reserves. Those resources should be more and more prized if we consider the outrageous oil prices.
